Some interesting facts
Stockholm is famed for its iconic city hall, the world’s first open-air museum and the fabulous Abba museum. But there are plenty of little-known facts about this city that even some locals might not be aware of – including an unusual story about Frank Zappa.
Stockholm, one of the most beautiful capitals in the world, is built on 14 islands connected by 57 bridges. The beautiful buildings, the greenery, the fresh air and the proximity to the water are distinctive traits of this city.
Stockholm is beautiful. It is also expensive. As in, it’s one of the most expensive cities to visit. If you’re on a tight budget, you might want to stay for just a few days.
Stockholm is a very walkable city which is one of the reasons why we loved it so much. We were able to walk to almost all of the tourist attractions and areas of the city that we wanted to visit. If you are not an avid walker (or New Yorkers like us haha) Stockholm has an amazing metro system called T-Bana.J
General features. Swedish cuisine could be described as centered around cultured dairy products, crisp and soft (often sugared) breads, berries and stone fruits, beef, chicken, lamb, pork, eggs, and seafood. Potatoes are often served as a side dish, often boiled.
Stockholm is Beautifully Built
Sweden’s stunning capital is awash with beautiful buildings. Of course, there’s Gamla Stan, the picturesque Old Town, which is home to some of Stockholm’s most impressive architecture including the Royal Palace, Nobel Museum, the Opera House and historic Storkyrkan cathedral.
